About the Haunted Hagan Express Train Ride

This Halloween season take advantage of this rare opportunity to ride the Hagan rails in the spooky and foggy darkness. When you board this steam engine, you will travel back in time, back to the old west... the undead west. This ride through the haunted woods will be your only way into The Deadlands, a perfect warm up to the terrors that await you. While this ride will have something for everyone, it is especially geared for young kids. So if you're ready to brave what is hiding in the shadows and fog of the Deadlands, then climb aboard and get ready for a haunting good time!

Operated by the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Railroad Museum, these fully functioning 1/8 scale steam engines run over 6000 feet of track. Tickets for the train ride only are available for the younger and more timid crowd who may get be too frightened by the haunted house terrors.

About the Sacramento Valley Live Steamers

The Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Railroad Museum is located within the Hagan Community Park in Rancho Cordova, California. The organization was started around 1965 and completed with a Golden Spike ceremony in 1973. The main line is now over 6,300 ft. with many sidings and several yards. The ride is scenic as the track passes through tree'd areas, as well as a fine view of the American River which passes within 100 ft. of the railroad. The railroad also features 5 wooden trestles, a 40ft truss bridge as well as a girder deck bridge.
